2008 DL650 WALLPAPERS
Read what they have to say and what they like and dislike about the bike below. It handles great, way better than the hornet, better than the aprilia shiver which I thought should have been way better for the money , in fact this is one of the best handling bikes under 70mph I’ve owned. The front suspension is vwry stiff and rear very soft Doesn’t like being ridden below rpm. Ive only covered about 1, miles on it but its been totally reliable. If we maintained normal highway speeds, those numbers should be even more impressive. The only other bike I was looking at was the Versys which is a fine bike, but it was too tall for me with a mm seat height I am just about 5’9″.

Motorcycle Daily, Dirck Edge, August 09, I regularly get in excess of miles per tank, have pushed this to but would not recommend it beyond that. I bought it on Auto trader for from a car dealer.
Keep an eye on the front fork seals and fit a headlight bypass relay if you can. No sports bike this bike is all about that punchy v twin alongside a superb twin headlight and upright riding position. Getting between 65 and 71 mpg as good as the old I assume that whoever designed it had their mind on the next project and a phobia of the wind tunnel. Friction point was half way in the lever travel just where I like it, but that is somewhat adjustable by the large easy-to-turn adjustor at the lever end of the cable.
The engine also utilizes dual spark plugs per cylinder to ensure complete combustion and for emissions reasons. With that kind of suspension travel and ground clearance, if you bottom out, you might want to make a change to different terrain. When coming to a stop it is important to keep the bars dead centre as even the slightest front brake when coming to a stop makes the forks dive and can really unsettle the top heavy tendency to keel over a little.
2008 Suzuki V-Strom 650 (DL650)
Without luggage the steering is true. Total Motorcycle is my pride and joy xl650 being able to reach out million people has been incredible but I could not have done it without the support of my visitors, readers and members, thank you so much!
The V-twin cc engine is superb, and much more useable, smooth and flexible than the by comparison clunky and coarse cc version.
Ash on Bikes, Kevin Ash. The DL has a inch front wheel and a inch rear wheel. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Bike sounds a bit humpy compared to the thundercat, but is sooo much more comfortable, getting about miles from a tank of fuel with revs not going above 6k, great for touring or comutting, im 6’1 so find this bike perfect in size and riding position, not to heavy to handle at about kilos, no back ache or hand ache after 8 hrs straight riding, just a numb bum: My only gripe really!

Color Flat Black, Yellow. First impressions can go a long way, but the true test will be days in the saddle. The ld650 thing to watch is low speed handling.
Never going to electrify with thrills, but easy to ride, manageable, looks good and good value. Peak torque kicks in at rpm but anywhere between rpm will have you grinning like a maniac. It’s now fully run-in and I’d like to point out a few issues which are minor but relevant to others interest in this overall great motorcycle.
Next Victory Arlen Ness Jackpot.

About Michael Le Pard Articles. Suzuki motorcycles timeline sl650. There is a selection of basic factory accessories for the V-Strom but over the years the bike has acquired an almost cult-like status, and because of its functionality and the belief that this model will be around for many years to come, there is also a large selection of functional aftermarket parts available as well.
Suzuki V-Strom – Brussels: There is just a hint of weave above 85 mph with panniers and top box, but not alarming so far. I do my own servicing.
Also no belly pan as standard although you do get heated grips, hand guards and colour coded luggage with the GT version which are all great. I 0208 done miles on a tankful of petrol more than once. Its still running in at the moment but its nearly there thanks to miles in the 3 days after my test! Story and photos by Glenn Roberts They say history always repeats itself and it seems there is a trend that is going back to the general-purpose, all-around motorcycle.
